The two Corti Design workshops are dedicated to the custom mechanical processing of metal tubes, sheets and plates in various diameters and thicknesses. These ateliers are home to skilled professionals who meticulously take care of every detail to create truly unique objects. From prototyping to welding, cutting to shaping, Corti Design’s artisans work with iron, stainless steel and light alloys to produce components, details, and structures of the highest aesthetic quality, with the utmost precision and speed.

Handcrafted expertise, industrial process

Corti Design’s technical expertise enables us to anticipate critical issues and to tackle even the most challenging projects with the utmost precision. An industrial process guided by the hands and minds of skilled artisans, supported by continuous quality control that ensures even the smallest imperfection is identified in a timely manner.

Prototyping

Before moving to large-scale production, we create highly accurate prototypes to identify potential issues, test functionality, and determine the most efficient and effective production method.

Cutting

We utilise a 4×2 metre platform for the laser cutting of iron, steel, stainless steel, and aluminium sheets, as well as round, square, or rectangular pipes with diameters ranging from 12 to 140 mm and thicknesses of up to 8 mm, using either nitrogen or oxygen.

Bending

Our pipe bender, integrated with the production management system, bends pipes with diameters from 10 to 40 mm and thicknesses up to 3 mm. The 14-axis system supports both fixed or variable bending radii, reducing waste and eliminating the need for reworking.

Welding

We use wire welding, braze welding and TIG welding to create complex shapes and profiles. To guarantee precision and a clean, burr-free finish, we use projection welders with a flash butt welder, and a 6-axis welding robot, which triples the output compared to manual welding.

Surface cleaning

To complete each process, we use a tumbler to remove burrs and sharp edges, a pressure sandblaster to eliminate surface imperfections and a polishing machine for pipes with diameters from 10 to 50 mm. For more complex surfaces, we carry out manual polishing using custom-designed power tools.

Painting

To protect, refine and enhance the material-like quality of each piece produced in our workshop, we also handle the surface painting in-house, ensuring every object that leaves our workshop is ready to become a unique and valuable component in the most prestigious design projects.
